Oregon Salmon and Steelhead Fishing

We can fish for Trout, Salmon or Steelhead year-round in Oregon.

We choose the river that offers the best conditions for the date you want to fish.

Winter Steelhead

The hard-fighting, acrobatic winter Steelhead start entering Oregon coastal rivers in late November and run through March. We fish many rivers, depending on water levels and fish returns. Steelhead Fishing The Siuslaw River, Alsea River, Smith River, North Umpqua River, Main Umpqua River, Siletz River, Willamette River, and Rogue River.

Spring Chinook

My father says that the best-eating fish is a spring Chinook. These stout fish enter our rivers from April through July. We fish the Willamette, McKenzie, North Umpqua, Main Umpqua, and Santiam.

Summer Steelhead

We use a wide variety of tackle, including flies, plugs and spinners, to catch the summer Steelhead. They enter the Willamette system, including the McKenzie and Santiam rivers, in April. They enter the Rogue in late August, and we can catch them into February.

Fall Chinook

The first rains of Fall usually bring in the Chinook, and they continue to run through November. We fish the Siuslaw, Alsea, and Main Umpqua. With a two-day minimum booking, you can fish the prolific runs of the Elk or the Sixes in southern Oregon in November and December.

Rates
Salmon or Steelhead Fishing: $325 per boat, one or two anglers
Elk or Sixes: $350 per boat, one or two anglers, 2-day minimum booking
